MINES LOCATION
Zenva Gems sapphires originate from Sri Lanka’s most renowned gem-rich regions, including Ratnapura, the “City of Gemstones,” as well as Elahera and Balangoda. Each region produces sapphires with unique colors and qualities, shaped by its distinct geology.
EXTRACTION PROCESS
Each sapphire begins its journey long before reaching the workshop—in Sri Lanka’s rivers and alluvial soils, extracted by hand using traditional, eco-friendly methods.
The earth is dug at shallow depths, gravel is extracted, washed, and then hand-sorted to find raw gemstones. This process requires precision, experience, and respect for the natural rhythm of the land.
